PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION
- Develop accurate and competitive electrical cost estimates for commercial, tenant improvement (TI), and infrastructure projects.
- Support winning bids and successful project execution through effective cost planning.
- Identify project risks and align bid strategies with company growth objectives.
- Ensure accurate budgeting and estimating practices throughout the bidding process.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare accurate cost estimates, quantity takeoffs, and bid proposals for electrical construction projects.
- Review drawings, specifications, and project documents to determine project scope and requirements.
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
- Analyze labor, material, equipment, and overhead costs.
- Identify project risks, value-engineering opportunities, and cost-saving solutions.
- Maintain estimating databases, pricing information, and bid records.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and clients during the bidding process.
- Prepare bid packages and submit estimates within established deadlines.
- Assist with contract reviews and project handoff after project award.
- Participate in estimating and project coordination meetings as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong understanding of commercial, industrial, or residential electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and contracts.
- Experience with quantity takeoffs and cost estimation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and estimating software.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
PREFERRED
- Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Experience estimating large-scale commercial or industrial projects.
- Knowledge of NEC codes and industry standards.
- Experience with Bluebeam, Accubid, PlanSwift, or similar estimating software.
- Previous experience working with U.S.-based construction projects.
PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
- Submit accurate and complete estimates on or before deadlines.
- Maintain estimate accuracy within approved project budgets.
- Prepare and submit all required bid documentation with minimal revisions.
- Support the generation of competitive and profitable project bids.
- Communicate proactively with internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Attend scheduled team meetings and provide timely project updates.
- Maintain organized estimating records and project documentation.
- Contribute to achieving the company's bidding and project acquisition goals.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
- Compensation: $1,000 per month.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from a reputable university.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical estimating.
- Full-time remote position.
- Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
- Reliable access to two internet sources.
- Proficiency with estimating tools such as Accubid, Bluebeam, STACK, PlanSwift, or equivalent software.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
- Must utilize Time Doctor or similar screen-recording technology if hired.
Pay: From ₹65,000.00 per month
