Job Title: Safety Engineer

Job Summary
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Safety Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing and monitoring health and safety standards across construction sites, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, and promoting a strong safety culture. Fresh graduates with relevant qualifications and a passion for workplace safety are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor site safety policies, procedures, and programs.
- Conduct regular site safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
- Ensure compliance with applicable safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
- Monitor and enforce the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, awareness sessions, and training programs for employees and contractors.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, identify root causes, and prepare detailed reports.
- Maintain safety records, permits, documentation, and statutory compliance reports.
- Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and site teams to ensure safe work practices.
- Identify potential hazards and recommend preventive and corrective measures.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance workplace safety and minimize risks.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Safety Engineering, Industrial Safety, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 1–5 years of relevant experience in construction or industrial safety (Freshers with relevant qualifications may also apply).
- Knowledge of construction/site safety regulations and best practices.
- Good communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to prepare safety reports and maintain accurate documentation.
- Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and report preparation.
- Certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or ADIS will be an added advantage.
