About the Role
We are looking for an energetic and ambitious Sales Intern to support our SaaS business growth initiatives through outbound prospecting and lead generation activities. As a Sales Intern, you will be responsible for connecting with prospective clients through cold calls, understanding their business challenges, pitching our SaaS solutions, and generating qualified leads for the sales team.
Key Responsibilities1. Outbound Prospecting & Cold Calling
- Conduct outbound calls to prospective clients and businesses.
- Introduce and pitch the company's SaaS products and solutions.
- Identify customer pain points and position the product value proposition effectively.
- Generate interest and qualify leads for the sales pipeline.
2. Lead Generation & Qualification
- Research and identify potential customers across target industries.
- Qualify leads based on business needs, fit, and buying intent.
- Schedule product demos or meetings for the senior sales team.
- Maintain a healthy pipeline of prospects and opportunities.
3. CRM & Sales Tracking
- Maintain accurate records of calls, conversations, and lead status in CRM tools.
- Track outreach activities and follow-up schedules.
- Ensure data accuracy and timely updates in the sales pipeline.
4. Market Research
- Understand customer personas, industry trends, and competitor offerings.
- Gather insights from prospect interactions to improve sales messaging and outreach strategies.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Confidence in speaking with prospective customers over phone calls.
- Strong persuasion and negotiation skills.
- Basic understanding of sales, business development, or customer engagement.
- Comfortable working with targets and performance metrics.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Good to Have
- Prior internship or experience in telecalling, lead generation, or sales.
- Exposure to SaaS products or B2B sales environments.
- Familiarity with CRM tools such as Zoho CRM, HubSpot, or similar platforms.
