We are seeking a retired BMC Civil Engineer to provide technical expertise, liaison support, and guidance for construction and infrastructure projects. The candidate will leverage their in-depth knowledge of BMC procedures, municipal regulations, approvals, and project execution to ensure smooth project delivery and compliance with statutory requirements. Responsibilities typically include overseeing civil works, coordinating with authorities, managing project documentation, and supporting approvals and inspections.
Key Responsibilities
- Liaise with BMC departments and other government authorities for project approvals, NOCs, inspections, and compliance matters.
- Guide the team on BMC rules, Development Control Regulations (DCR), and municipal procedures.
- Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders.
- Review civil engineering drawings, BOQs, estimates, and technical documentation.
- Monitor project execution, quality standards, and compliance with approved plans.
- Assist in tender evaluation, contract management, and project cost control.
- Facilitate resolution of technical, administrative, and regulatory issues.
- Conduct site inspections and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
- Maintain documentation related to approvals, correspondence, and project records.
- Support management in project planning, execution strategy, and risk mitigation.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of BMC approval processes and municipal regulations.
- Expertise in civil construction, project management, and contract administration.
- Excellent liaisoning and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong understanding of estimation, billing, BOQ preparation, and tendering.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Good communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office and construction documentation practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- Retired Assistant Engineer, Executive Engineer, Deputy Engineer, or equivalent from BMC.
- 15–25+ years of experience in municipal infrastructure, roads, drainage, water supply, buildings, or public works projects.
- Strong network and working relationships with municipal departments and regulatory authorities.
Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
