The Staff Cook is responsible for preparing quality food for hotel staff and all team members, ensuring consistency, hygiene, and timely service across all meal periods (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) with a focus on North Indian, South Indian, and multi-cuisine offerings.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook dishes as per standard recipes (SOPs) and chef instructions
- Handle North Indian & South Indian gravies, tandoor breads, South Indian breakfast (Idli, dosa, vada etc.), curries, rice, and accompaniments
- Ensure consistency in taste, portioning, and quality
- Knowledge of bulk cooking
- Maintain cleanliness of workstation, equipment, and storage areas
- Ensure proper food storage, labelling, and food safety
- Ensure timely preparation for breakfast (6–9 AM), lunch (12–3 PM), and dinner (7–10 PM)
