Key ResponsibilitiesCMM Programming & Inspection
- Develop, validate, and optimize CMM inspection programs for new and existing components.
- Perform dimensional inspection of machined parts using CMM equipment.
- Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T requirements, and customer specifications.
- Generate inspection reports and ensure measurement accuracy.
- Verify first-off, in-process, and final inspection requirements.
Measurement & Quality Control
- Conduct dimensional analysis and capability studies.
- Perform layout inspection and sample validation.
- Analyze measurement results and communicate deviations to production and quality teams.
- Support root cause analysis for dimensional non-conformities.
Equipment Maintenance & Calibration
- Ensure proper operation and preventive maintenance of CMM equipment.
- Coordinate calibration and periodic verification of CMM machines and accessories.
- Maintain probe qualification and machine accuracy records.
New Product Development Support
- Participate in APQP, PPAP, and new product development activities.
- Prepare dimensional reports required for customer submissions.
- Support process validation and capability studies.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain CMM programs, inspection records, and measurement reports.
- Ensure proper revision control of inspection programs.
- Maintain customer-specific inspection documentation.
Quality System Compliance
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and customer-specific requirements.
- Participate in internal audits, process audits, and customer audits.
- Support MSA (Measurement System Analysis) studies, including Gauge R&R.
Continuous Improvement
- Improve inspection efficiency through program optimization.
- Reduce inspection cycle time while maintaining measurement accuracy.
- Support quality improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.

Qualifications
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
Experience
- 3–10 years of experience in CMM operation and programming within a machine shop, automotive, precision engineering, or manufacturing environment.
Skills Required
- Strong knowledge of engineering drawings and GD&T.
- Expertise in CMM programming and dimensional inspection.
- Knowledge of machining processes and tolerancing.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office and quality documentation.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
