A Credit Analyst is responsible for evaluating the creditworthiness of individuals or businesses and assessing the risk involved before approving loans or credit facilities.
Credit Analyst – Roles & Responsibilities
- Analyse loan applications and assess the applicant's financial health.
- Review financial statements, bank statements, income documents, and credit reports.
- Verify customer information and supporting documents for accuracy and authenticity.
- Evaluate credit risk and determine repayment capacity.
- Conduct credit bureau checks (such as CIBIL or other relevant credit agencies).
- Prepare detailed credit appraisal and risk assessment reports.
- Recommend approval, rejection, or modification of loan applications based on analysis.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and internal credit guidelines.
- Identify potential risks and suggest appropriate risk mitigation measures.
- Coordinate with Sales, Operations, and Legal teams for smooth loan processing.
- Monitor existing loan portfolios and identify early warning signs of default.
- Maintain accurate records of credit evaluations and customer documentation.
- Support audits and regulatory inspections by providing required documentation.
- Stay updated on industry trends, lending policies, and regulatory changes.
Pay: Up to ₹300,000.00 per year
