The OT Staff Nurse plays a critical role in facilitating smooth and efficient surgical procedures. This professional is responsible for preparing the operating room, assisting the surgical team, and ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety before, during, and after operations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain the operating room environment.
- Assist surgeons and anesthetists during surgical procedures.
- Ensure surgical instruments and supplies are sterile and ready for use.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and respond to emergencies.
- Provide preoperative and postoperative care to patients.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
