Job Summary
We are looking for a passionate and experienced UI/UX Designer & Faculty to join our Nagercoil branch. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in User Interface and User Experience design principles, hands-on experience with industry-standard tools, and a flair for teaching. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality training to our students, guiding them through practical projects, and helping them build strong, job-ready portfolios.
Key Responsibilities
- Instruction & Training: Conduct engaging classroom and practical lab sessions for students on UI/UX design concepts, methodologies, and software tools.
- Curriculum Delivery: Follow and effectively deliver the DreamZone UI/UX curriculum, ensuring students understand both the theoretical principles (User Research, Information Architecture) and practical applications (Wireframing, Prototyping).
- Mentorship: Guide students in their creative thought process, helping them solve design problems and encouraging innovative thinking.
- Portfolio Development: Assist students in creating professional-grade case studies and portfolios that showcase their skills to potential employers.
- Evaluation: Assess student progress through assignments, practical tests, and project reviews, providing constructive feedback.
- Industry Updation: Stay updated with the latest UI/UX trends, tools, and industry requirements to ensure the training remains highly relevant.
- Internal Projects (Occasional): Assist the center with internal design needs, such as creating promotional materials or updating center graphics, when required.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Design, Computer Science, Fine Arts, or a related field. (A certification in UI/UX Design is highly preferred).
- Experience: 1 to 3+ years of professional experience as a UI/UX Designer. Prior teaching, mentoring, or corporate training experience is a massive plus.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Tamil to effectively explain complex design concepts to students.
- Portfolio: A strong professional portfolio demonstrating a deep understanding of user-centered design, wireframing, and visual design.
Technical Skills Required
- Design & Prototyping Tools: Proficiency in Figma (Primary), Adobe XD, Sketch, and InVision.
- Graphic Design Tools: Good working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
- UX Deliverables: Ability to create user personas, user journeys, flowcharts, wireframes, and interactive prototypes.
- Basic Web Knowledge: Understanding of basic HTML/CSS is an advantage (to teach students how designers collaborate with developers).
