Position: Accounts Associate
Department: Finance & Accounts
Experience Required: 3–4 years (preferably in corporate accounting / financial services)
Role Overview
The Accounts Manager will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, managing financial reporting, and supporting audits. This role requires strong technical knowledge of accounting standards, attention to detail, and the ability to manage a small team while coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
1. Accounting & Book-Keeping
- Manage day-to-day accounting entries including AP, AR, bank reconciliations, and general ledgers.
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing.
- Maintain proper documentation and accounting records as per statutory requirements.
- Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and schedules.
2. Financial Reporting
- Prepare MIS reports — P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, variance analysis.
- Support consolidation of accounts (if applicable).
3. Statutory Compliance
- Ensure timely compliance with Income Tax, GST, TDS, and other regulatory filings.
- Coordinate with consultants for tax notices, assessments & queries.
- Monitor changes in regulations and ensure compliance.
4. Audit & Coordination
- Lead internal and statutory audits.
- Prepare audit schedules, respond to auditor queries, and ensure timely closure.
- Liaise with bankers, consultants, and regulatory authorities as required.
5. Treasury & Payables Management
- Manage vendor payments, payroll coordination, and petty cash.
- Monitor cash flow and fund requirements.
6. Team Management
- Supervise and develop junior accounting staff.
- Allocate tasks and ensure timely delivery.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter / MBA (Finance).
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards, GST, TDS, and corporate compliance.
- Experience with ERP/ accounting software (Tally, etc.).
- Strong analytical and reconciliation skills.
- Good communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to work under deadlines with attention to detail.
Preferred Attributes
- Experience in financial services, NBFC, AIF, or similar regulatory-heavy environment.
- Ability to multitask and independently manage responsibilities.
- Proactive approach and strong problem-solving mindset.
