Network Intern
Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Network Intern to support our IT and networking team. The intern will assist in installing, configuring, monitoring, and troubleshooting network systems and devices. This role is ideal for candidates who want to gain hands-on experience in networking and system administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in configuring and maintaining routers, switches, firewalls, and Wi-Fi devices.
- Monitor network performance and report issues.
- Support troubleshooting of LAN, WAN, internet, and connectivity problems.
- Help with installation and maintenance of network cables and devices.
- Assist users with basic network and system support.
- Maintain network documentation and inventory records.
- Support server, IP phone, CCTV, and Wi-Fi system maintenance.
- Perform software updates and basic security checks.
- Coordinate with senior engineers during projects and site visits.
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN, Routing, Switching).
- Understanding of computer hardware and operating systems.
- Familiarity with routers, switches, and wireless networks.
- Basic troubleshooting skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Willingness to learn new technologies.
Educational Qualification
- Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in:
- Computer Science
- Information Technology
- Electronics & Communication
- Networking or related field
Preferred Knowledge
- Basic understanding of:
- Windows Server
- Linux
- MikroTik / Cisco devices
- Firewall and cybersecurity concepts
- CCTV and IP phone systems
Experience
- Freshers can apply.
- Internship or project experience in networking is an added advantage.
