The French Teacher is responsible for teaching French language skills to students, fostering an engaging classroom environment, and helping students develop listening, speaking, reading, and writing abilities in French.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver French lessons according to the school curriculum.
Teach French grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills.
Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assessments, and learning materials.
Assess and evaluate students' progress through tests, assignments, and projects.
Encourage students to communicate confidently in French.
Maintain classroom discipline and create a positive learning environment.
Integrate French culture and traditions into lessons where appropriate.
Participate in school events, parent-teacher meetings, and staff meetings.
Maintain accurate student records and submit reports on time.
Collaborate with colleagues to improve teaching and learning outcomes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in French or a related field.
B.Ed. (preferred, if required by the school).
Strong command of spoken and written French and English.
Previous teaching experience is preferred.
