Job Description:
We are looking for a well-groomed and service-oriented Restaurant / Bar Steward to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for providing excellent guest service, taking food and beverage orders, assisting the captain/supervisor, maintaining table standards, and ensuring smooth restaurant and bar operations.
The ideal candidate should be polite, energetic, disciplined, and willing to work in a fast-paced restaurant and bar environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome guests politely and assist them with seating when required.
- Present menus and explain food, beverage, cocktail, and mocktail options to guests.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and punch them correctly in the system.
- Serve food and beverages as per restaurant service standards.
- Assist guests with recommendations and basic upselling.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper setup of tables, chairs, cutlery, crockery, glassware, and service stations.
- Coordinate with kitchen, bar, and captain for timely order service.
- Clear used plates, glasses, and cutlery from tables promptly.
- Support bar service by serving beverages and maintaining basic bar service hygiene.
- Handle guest requests politely and inform the captain/supervisor about complaints or issues.
- Follow grooming, hygiene, and uniform standards at all times.
- Assist in opening and closing duties of the restaurant and bar.
Candidate Requirements:
- Prior experience as a Steward, Waiter, Server, or Service Associate preferred.
- Freshers with good communication skills and a positive attitude may also apply.
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage service.
- Good communication and guest-handling skills.
- Should be presentable, polite, and well-mannered.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant/bar environment.
- Willing to work evening shifts, weekends, public holidays, and late-night operations if required.
- Basic knowledge of POS/order punching will be an added advantage.
Qualification:
Minimum 10th / 12th pass.
Hotel management or hospitality background will be preferred but is not mandatory.
