We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Senior Bookkeeper to join our finance team and support US-based business operations. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in bookkeeping, financial reporting, reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable management, and accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or NetSuite.
This role requires excellent analytical skills, accuracy, and the ability to work collaboratively with US-based accountants, CPAs, and finance professionals while maintaining high standards of financial compliance and reporting.
Key ResponsibilitiesBookkeeping & Financial Management
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and bookkeeping transactions.
- Record daily financial activities, journal entries, and account adjustments.
- Monitor company expenses and ensure proper documentation of financial transactions.
- Manage general ledger accounts and maintain financial accuracy.
Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable
- Process vendor invoices and payments in a timely manner.
- Manage customer invoicing, collections, and payment tracking.
- Reconcile AP and AR balances and resolve discrepancies.
- Monitor outstanding receivables and vendor obligations.
Reconciliations & Compliance
- Perform bank, credit card, and account reconciliations regularly.
- Investigate unusual transactions, duplicate charges, overbilling, and financial discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with US accounting standards and internal financial controls.
- Maintain audit-ready financial records and supporting documentation.
Financial Reporting
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Generate Profit & Loss Statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow Reports.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Provide financial insights and variance analysis to management.
Payroll & Month-End Closing
- Coordinate payroll data and employee-related financial records.
- Support payroll processing and payroll-related reconciliations.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Work closely with external CPAs and accounting partners during financial reviews.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
- Minimum 2–5 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of US bookkeeping and accounting principles.
- Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online/Desktop, Xero, NetSuite, or similar accounting software.
- Experience managing AP, AR, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
- Excellent English communication and documentation skills.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Availability to work during US business hours (Night Shift).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting US-based companies or CPA firms.
- Experience with California-based businesses and compliance requirements.
- Knowledge of payroll processing, sales tax, and US financial regulations.
- Experience with eCommerce platforms such as Amazon, Shopify, Walmart, and WooCommerce.
- Familiarity with financial automation tools and cloud-based accounting systems.
- B.Com, M.Com, MBA (Finance), CPA, or equivalent qualification.
