Role Overview:
The MES Solution Architect is responsible for end-to-end architecture, design, and delivery of Manufacturing Execution System (MES) solutions across complex manufacturing environments. The role requires deep expertise in Siemens Opcenter / Camstar platforms, strong understanding of Industry 4.0, and hands-on experience translating manufacturing processes into scalable, integrated digital manufacturing solutions aligned with global standards
Key Responsibilities
MES Architecture & Standards Alignment
Architect, design, and lead MES implementations using Siemens Opcenter Core, Electronics, MDD, Semi and/or Delmia Apriso.
Define MES reference architecture and solution blueprints aligned to ISA-95 and ISA-88 standards.
Ensure clear separation and integration across ISA-95 levels (ERP, MES/MOM, Control, Field).
ApplyISA-88 concepts such as equipment models, operations, phases, and recipes where applicable.
Standardize MES designs formulti-plant and global rollout scenarios.
Integration & Interoperability
Design and govern MES–ERP integration (SAP preferred) including master data, production orders, inventory, and quality data.
LeadCamstar Interoperability (CIO) / MOM module implementations for equipment and ERP integration.
Develop and manageinbound and outbound messaging, ensuring secure and reliable data exchange.
Architect shop-floor connectivity with PLC, SCADA, OPC (UA), IoT platforms, and Edge systems
Cloud, Infrastructure & DevOps
Design and deploy MES solutions on AWS or Microsoft Azure, including hybrid architectures.
Define containerized and microservices-based deployments usingDocker, Kubernetes, and DevOps pipelines.
Collaborate onnetwork design, Windows system administration, cybersecurity, and infrastructure services.
Design database architectures using Oracle, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL, ensuring performance and scalability
Development & Low-Code Enablement
Provide technical leadership for MES customization using .NET, C#, PowerShell, VB, VBScript.
Oversee development standards, code quality, performance tuning, and maintainability.
Enable rapid extensions using low-code / no-code platforms (Mendix) for user facing applications and workflows
Reporting, Analytics & Industry 4.0
Architectmanufacturing reports, dashboards, and KPIs usingPower BI, SSRS, and Crystal Reports.
Enablegenealogy, traceability, quality analytics, and production performance monitoring.
ApplyIndustry 4.0 technologies including IoT, historians, edge computing, cyber security, digital twins, and digital control towers.
Support smart factory initiatives such as paperless manufacturing and real-time operational visibility
Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
Act as a solution authority and technical mentor for MES delivery teams.
Leadtechnical workshops, solution reviews, and architecture governance.
Supportpre-sales activities including solution definition, estimations, demos, and customer presentations.
Collaborate with business, IT, automation, and operations stakeholders to align MES capabilities with business outcomes
