We are hiring for a NPD Executive for New Product Development & Testing.
Job Responsibilities
- Coordinate day-to-day activities related to new product development.
- Follow up with the Design, Purchase, Production, Quality, Stores and Vendor teams for timely completion of development activities.
- Understand product requirements, specifications and drawings provided by the Design Team.
- Arrange raw materials, bought-out components, hardware and other items required for prototype development.
- Maintain records of materials and components used in each prototype.
- Coordinate the fabrication, machining, finishing and assembly of product samples.
- Assist the technical team in assembling and testing new product prototypes.
- Conduct basic product checks related to fitment, functionality, appearance and ease of assembly.
- Record observations, defects and modifications identified during product trials.
- Share development feedback with the concerned departments and follow up on corrective actions.
- Coordinate the preparation of revised samples after modifications.
- Maintain Bills of Materials, component lists, product specifications and sample-development records.
- Maintain photographs, testing reports, approval records and modification histories for each product.
- Coordinate with vendors for quotations, samples, materials and development-related requirements.
- Track product-development timelines and provide regular status updates to management.
- Assist in preparing assembly instructions, packing details and product handover documents.
- Support pilot-production activities and coordinate between the NPD and Production teams.
- Ensure that approved samples and specifications are followed during initial production.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding new products, samples, drawings and development information.
- Perform other product-development and coordination tasks assigned by management.
Role Clarification
This position does not involve product designing or CAD modelling. Product designs and drawings will be provided by the Design Team. The role primarily involves coordination, documentation, sample follow-up, basic testing and product-development support.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
