Overview
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented PCB Assembler to join our production team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling, soldering, inspecting, and testing printed circuit boards (PCBs) to ensure high-quality standards and reliable product performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform manual and automated assembly of electronic components on PCBs as per work instructions and assembly drawings.
- Carry out through-hole and SMD soldering using hand-soldering tools and reflow equipment.
- Inspect assembled boards for defects such as solder bridges, missing components, or polarity issues.
- Read and interpret schematics, BOM (Bill of Materials), and layout drawings.
- Operate basic production machines such as pick-and-place, reflow oven, wave soldering, and AOI (if required).
- Conduct basic functional testing and troubleshooting under supervision.
- Maintain proper handling of ESD-sensitive components according to company guidelines.
- Ensure work area cleanliness and follow standard safety practices.
- Document production activities and report any issues or deviations to the supervisor.
Qualifications
- 0–1 years of experience in PCB assembly or electronics manufacturing (Freshers with practical skills are welcome).
- Basic knowledge of electronic components and soldering techniques.
- Ability to read assembly drawings, PCB layouts, and follow detailed work instructions.
- Good hand–eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with ESD safety practices.
- Ability to work as part of a team and meet production deadlines.
Preferred Skills (Added Advantage)
- Experience with SMD rework or fine-pitch soldering.
- Knowledge of AOI, reflow, or wave soldering processes.
- Understanding of IPC standards (IPC-A-610).
