About the Role
The Assistant Manager – Operations Excellence will drive continuous improvement initiatives across Ugaoo's manufacturing, warehouse, packaging, and supply chain operations. The role focuses on enhancing productivity, optimizing processes, reducing operational waste, and building standardized ways of working. The ideal candidate should have a strong Industrial Engineering background with hands-on experience in Time & Motion Study, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and supply chain improvement projects.
Responsibilities

Conduct Time & Motion Studies to improve manpower utilization and operational efficiency.

Lead Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and Continuous Improvement initiatives across operations.

Identify process bottlenecks and implement sustainable productivity improvement projects.

Drive process optimization across warehouse, manufacturing, packaging, and supply chain functions.

Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to improve process consistency.

Analyze operational KPIs and recommend corrective and preventive actions.

Perform capacity planning, line balancing, workflow optimization, and layout improvement exercises.

Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, Planning, Procurement, and Warehouse teams to improve end-to-end operational performance.

Lead cost reduction and waste elimination initiatives through data-driven analysis.

Support automation and process digitization projects to improve operational efficiency.

Monitor project implementation and ensure measurable improvements in productivity, quality, and cost.

Build a culture of continuous improvement across operational teams.
Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related discipline.

3–6 years of experience in Operations Excellence, Industrial Engineering, Process Excellence, or Continuous Improvement.

Strong expertise in Industrial Engineering principles and productivity improvement methodologies.

Hands-on experience in Time & Motion Study, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, and Root Cause Analysis.

Experience in executing supply chain, warehouse, manufacturing, or operations improvement projects.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret operational data and identify improvement opportunities.

Proficiency in MS Excel and operational reporting tools.

Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Experience in FMCG, manufacturing, consumer goods, retail, e-commerce, food processing, or supply chain-driven organizations is preferred.

Ability to independently lead improvement initiatives and deliver measurable business outcomes.
