Job Summary:
The AC Technician in a hospital is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing air conditioning and ventilation systems to ensure a safe, hygienic, and comfortable environment for patients, staff, and visitors. The role is critical in maintaining temperature-controlled areas such as ICUs, OTs, labs, and wards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, inspect, maintain, and repair HVAC systems (Split AC, Window AC, Central AC, Chillers, AHU, FCU).
- Ensure proper functioning of air conditioning systems in critical areas like ICU, Operation Theatre (OT), NICU, and laboratories.
- Monitor and maintain required temperature, humidity, and air quality standards as per hospital protocols.
- Perform preventive maintenance and routine servicing as per schedule.
- Identify faults and carry out troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical issues.
- Check gas levels, detect leaks, and perform gas charging when required.
- Maintain records/logbooks of maintenance, breakdowns, and service activities.
- Coordinate with biomedical and infection control teams when working in sterile areas.
- Ensure minimal disruption to hospital operations during repair work.
- Follow all safety protocols and infection control guidelines.
- Attend emergency breakdowns on priority.
Required Qualifications:
- ITI / Diploma in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning or related field.
- Certification in HVAC systems (preferred).
Experience:
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in AC maintenance.
- Hospital or healthcare facility experience is highly preferred.
Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of HVAC systems including Central AC plants.
- Familiarity with AHU, Chillers, Cooling Towers, VRF/VRV systems.
- Understanding of electrical wiring and control panels.
- Ability to read technical drawings and manuals.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
