About the Role
We're looking for a Video Editor focused on performance-driven short-form ads for platforms like Meta, TikTok, and paid social. This role sits inside a performance creative team, where speed, iteration, and testing matter.
You'll work closely with a Creative Strategist to turn scripts and concepts into high-performing ad creatives, producing multiple variations designed to test and scale. The ideal candidate understands how to edit ads that stop the scroll, retain attention, and convert.
Responsibilities
Short-Form Ad Editing
- Edit UGC-style paid social ads (15–45 seconds) optimized for Meta, TikTok, and similar platforms.
- Assemble ads using creator footage, stock assets, product footage, and brand materials.
Performance-Oriented Editing
- Structure edits to maximize hook strength, pacing, retention, and message clarity.
- Implement direct-response principles such as strong opening hooks, clear value messaging, proof elements, and strong CTAs.
Motion Graphics & Visual Enhancements
- Add captions, motion graphics, callouts, and visual emphasis that improve comprehension and engagement.
- Use motion design to highlight product benefits, testimonials, and key selling points.
Creative Framework Execution
Editors should be comfortable implementing common performance ad frameworks including:
- Split-screen comparisons
- Green screen commentary
- Testimonial-style ads
- Problem/solution storytelling
- Before/after visuals
- Screen recordings and product walkthroughs
- Text-driven storytelling
Creative Iteration
- Produce multiple variations from a single concept (new hooks, captions, pacing, and structure).
- Support high-volume testing environments where ads are constantly iterated and improved.
AI-Assisted Asset Creation
- Use AI tools to generate or enhance creative assets when needed (background visuals, subtitles, voiceovers, etc.).
- Integrate AI workflows to accelerate production and experimentation.
Collaboration
- Work closely with the Creative Strategist to execute scripts and briefs accurately.
- Implement feedback quickly and maintain efficient turnaround times.
Asset Management & QA
- Ensure final videos meet platform specs and brand requirements.
- Maintain clear file organization, naming conventions, and version control.
Technology Feedback Loop
- Provide structured feedback to the internal tech team on internal agents and creative tools, including bugs, edge cases, workflow friction, and improvement opportunities.
Qualifications
- 3–4 years of experience editing short-form social media videos or paid social ads.
- Strong experience editing UGC-style advertising content.
- Proficiency in tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, CapCut, or similar editing software.
- Ability to incorporate motion graphics, captions, and dynamic visual elements effectively.
- Strong understanding of short-form pacing, storytelling, and viewer retention.
- Ability to manage multiple creative variations and fast turnaround cycles.
- Comfortable working remotely and collaborating with distributed teams.
Preferred Experience
- Experience editing ads for DTC brands or performance marketing agencies.
- Familiarity with creative testing frameworks used in paid social advertising.
- Experience using AI tools within creative production workflows.
- Experience supporting high-volume creative testing environments.
Pay: Up to ₹600,000.00 per year
