Responsibilities:
1. Project Planning
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
- Develop comprehensive project plans including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
- Prepare project budgets and cost estimates.
2. Team & Stakeholder Management
- Assemble and lead project teams including engineers, site staff, and subcontractors.
- Act as the main point of contact between the client, consultants, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
- Conduct regular meetings to coordinate work and communicate project updates.
3. Execution & Site Management
- Oversee on-site construction activities to ensure work aligns with project plans and specifications.
- Ensure proper sequencing of tasks and coordination between different trades.
- Monitor contractor and subcontractor performance.
4. Quality Assurance & Control
- Enforce quality standards across all construction phases.
- Coordinate with QA/QC teams to carry out inspections and ensure compliance with specifications and codes.
- Approve materials and workmanship before proceeding to the next phase.
5. Time Management
- Track progress against the project schedule.
- Anticipate and address delays or disruptions.
- Adjust timelines and work plans as needed to stay on schedule.
6. Cost Control & Budget Management
- Monitor expenses and ensure the project stays within budget.
- Approve procurement and manage change orders.
- Review contractor and supplier invoices before approval.
7. Contract & Document Management
- Administer construction contracts and ensure all parties fulfill their obligations.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation including contracts, drawings, permits, and reports.
- Ensure proper documentation for project handover and closeout.
8. Risk Management
- Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Respond to unforeseen issues such as design errors, material shortages, or labor disputes.
- Manage conflict resolution on site.
9. Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE)
- Ensure all site activities comply with safety regulations and environmental standards.
- Promote a safety culture among workers and contractors.
- Work with HSE officers to conduct audits and enforce corrective actions.
10. Reporting & Client Communication
- Provide regular progress reports to clients and senior management.
- Present financial updates, timelines, and performance metrics.
- Ensure client expectations are managed and delivered.
