The Accounts Executive plays a crucial role in maintaining financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting regulations, and supporting the financial operations of the organization. They are responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing reports, and assisting in budgeting and forecasting processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Transactions:
- Record and process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Verify, allocate, and post financial data to appropriate accounts in a timely manner.
- Prepare and process invoices, bills, and bank deposits.
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of financial records.
- Financial Reporting:
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and analyses.
- Generate financial reports for management review, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Provide variance analysis and explanations for discrepancies in financial reports.
- Compliance and Regulation:
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and other regulatory filings.
- Participate in audits and provide necessary documentation and support.
- Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes by providing financial data and analysis.
- Assist in monitoring budget performance and identifying areas for improvement or cost-saving opportunities.
- Prepare financial projections and participate in financial planning activities.
- Financial Analysis:
- Analyze financial data and trends to provide insights and recommendations to management.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains.
- Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis as required.
- Communication and Collaboration:
- Liaise with internal stakeholders such as finance team members, department heads, and senior management.
- Communicate effectively with external parties including vendors, clients, and auditors.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on financial projects and initiatives.
