Role Summary
Responsible for day-to-day logistics operations at the plant, ensuring smooth material inward and outward movement, efficient labour management, and timely planning of loading/unloading activities, while supporting the Logistics Manager across all related functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Material Inward/Outward
- Supervise receipt of incoming raw materials and dispatch of finished goods
- Ensure accurate documentation (GRNs, delivery challans, e-way bills, invoices)
- Coordinate with stores/warehouse for proper stacking and inventory placement
- Loading & Unloading Planning
- Plan daily loading/unloading schedules based on production and dispatch requirements
- Allocate manpower and equipment to avoid delays or vehicle demurrage
- Ensure safety protocols are followed during material handling
- Labour Management
- Supervise and coordinate loading/unloading labour and logistics staff
- Monitor attendance, allocate daily tasks, and ensure discipline on the floor
- Liaise with labour contractors where applicable
- Vehicle & Transport Coordination
- Coordinate with transporters for timely vehicle placement
- Track vehicle turnaround time and resolve delays
- Maintain records of vehicle in/out logs
- Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain accurate logs for inward/outward materials, stock movement, and dispatch records
- Ensure compliance with statutory transport and safety norms
- Support audits (internal/external) related to logistics and warehousing
- General Support
- Assist Logistics Manager in planning, reporting, and process improvement
- Step in for the Logistics Manager during their absence
- Handle any other logistics-related tasks as assigned
Skills Required
- Strong coordination and people management skills
- Basic knowledge of logistics documentation (GRN, e-way bill, invoicing)
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple dispatch/inward activities simultaneously
Pay: ₹9,734.13 - ₹20,000.00 per month
