We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Automation QA Engineer with solid experience in API Testing, particularly using Java, Rest Assured, Postman, and Cucumber BDD. The ideal candidate will work on automation testing for a high-performance e-commerce platform, contributing to the testing of microservices and event-driven architectures.

Strong hands-on experience in Java (minimum 3–4 years)

Expertise in API Testing (minimum 3–4 years)

Solid experience with Rest Assured and POSTMAN

Experience with Cucumber BDD for unit testing

Familiarity with microservices testing and RESTful APIs

Exposure to Event-Driven Architecture (EDA)

Experience with Jenkins or other CI/CD tools

Good knowledge of Agile methodologies and test-driven development

Working knowledge of Git and bug tracking tools

Ability to estimate testing effort and timelines effectively

Experience testing Microservice Architectures

Exposure to performance testing tools like K6, JMeter, LoadRunner

Experience using mocking tools like Mockito, WireMock, or Microcks

Design, develop, and maintain robust API automation test suites

Collaborate with development and QA teams to ensure quality coverage

Participate in test planning, execution, and reporting

Identify and isolate defects, and work with developers for resolution

Contribute to continuous improvement of testing practices and frameworks

Ensure CI/CD pipelines are effectively integrated with testing automation

Document test cases, results, and maintain traceability

Proactively suggest improvements for performance, stability, and scalability
