Job Summary
The State Head is responsible for driving sales, business development, channel expansion, collections, and profitability across the assigned state. The role involves leading the state sales team, strengthening distributor and dealer networks, increasing market share, and ensuring the achievement of primary and secondary sales targets while maintaining healthy business relationships.
Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Business Development
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for the assigned state.
- Develop and execute state-wise business plans aligned with company objectives.
- Drive primary, secondary, and tertiary sales through the distribution network.
- Increase market share for K Nine Electricals' Switches and Wiring Accessories.
- Identify new business opportunities and develop untapped markets.
Channel Management
- Appoint and develop distributors, dealers, and retailers across the state.
- Maintain strong relationships with key distributors and electrical dealers.
- Ensure product availability and visibility in all assigned markets.
- Monitor distributor performance and implement corrective actions where required.
Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and motivate Area Sales Managers, Area Managers, and Sales Executives.
- Conduct regular sales reviews, field visits, and performance evaluations.
- Recruit, train, and develop high-performing sales teams.
- Set KPIs and ensure timely achievement of targets.
Market Development
- Conduct electrician meets, dealer meets, retailer engagement programs, and product demonstrations.
- Coordinate with the marketing team for branding and promotional activities.
- Gather competitor intelligence on pricing, schemes, product launches, and market trends.
- Launch new products successfully within the state.
Collection & Commercial Management
- Ensure timely collections from distributors and dealers.
- Monitor outstanding payments and credit limits.
- Improve collection efficiency while maintaining healthy customer relationships.
- Coordinate with finance for payment reconciliation and dispute resolution.
Sales Planning & Reporting
- Prepare monthly sales forecasts and annual business plans.
- Review district-wise performance and implement action plans.
- Maintain accurate MIS reports, sales pipeline, and market updates.
- Present business reviews to senior management.
Customer Relationship Management
- Build long-term relationships with distributors, dealers, architects, builders, contractors, and electrical consultants.
- Handle escalations and resolve customer concerns promptly.
- Ensure high customer satisfaction and service standards.
Compliance
- Ensure adherence to company sales policies, pricing guidelines, and commercial terms.
- Maintain ethical business practices across the state.

Educational Qualification
- Graduate in any discipline.
- MBA in Sales & Marketing preferred.
Experience
- 10–15 years of experience in Electrical/FMEG/FMCG sales.
- Minimum 3–5 years in a State Head or Regional Sales leadership role.
- Experience in Modular Switches, Accessories, MCBs, Lighting, or Electrical Products preferred.
