Job Description
The In-house Counsel will provide end-to-end legal advisory support across commercial contracting, payment regulation, corporate governance, and AML/CFT compliance matters. The role requires sound judgment, the ability to work independently, and a collaborative approach to supporting cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate a range of commercial agreements including merchant agreements, payment gateway contracts, vendor and SaaS agreements, NDAs, employment contracts, and partnership agreements.
- Provide regulatory advisory support on matters pertaining to BNM licensing and policy requirements, AMLA, PDPA, PayNet framework obligations, and applicable fintech regulations.
- Support AML/CFT compliance operations, including review of escalated compliance matters, regulatory correspondence, and internal policy documentation.
- Assist the Lead In-house Counsel in managing the department's legal and compliance workload, including prioritization of matters, coordination of team outputs, and ensuring timely delivery across ongoing mandates.
- Guide and provide day-to-day support to junior members of the Legal, Risk & Compliance team, contributing to their professional development through mentorship and knowledge sharing.
- Handle ad-hoc legal queries and provide timely, practical legal opinions to internal stakeholders across business, operations, and technology functions.
Pay: ₹11,470.13 - ₹100,000.00 per month
