Role Summary
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Pricing Sheet Developer to join our product team remotely. In this role, you will build, maintain, and validate pricing sheets that power accurate premium calculations across our travel insurance product portfolio. You will work closely with Product, QA, and IT teams to ensure that pricing logic is correctly implemented and rigorously tested prior to every release.This role is ideal for someone with a strong command of advanced Excel, and a genuine interest in working with structured data, logic, and cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop, maintain, and enhance pricing sheets using advanced Excel including complex formulas, array functions, and macros.
2. Implement and manage pricing logic covering trip cost bands, state-specific rules, plan codes, and product configuration parameters.
3. Validate pricing outputs against product implementation sheets and allocation sheets to ensure accuracy and consistency.
4. Execute detailed pricing test scenarios across multiple variables: trip cost, trip length, traveler count, and state variations.
5. Identify, investigate, and document pricing discrepancies; support root cause analysis (RCA) and coordinate with IT/QA teams for timely resolution.
6. Collaborate with Product Managers, QA Engineers, and IT developers to align pricing sheet structure with system implementation requirements.
7. Maintain version control and documentation of all pricing sheet changes to ensure traceability and audit readiness.
8. Support product release validation by running pre-deployment pricing checks and verifying post-deployment accuracy.
9.Proactively identify areas to improve pricing sheet design, structure, and efficiency.
Required Skills & Qualifications
1. 3+ years of experience in Excel-based development, pricing configuration, or product data roles.
2. Advanced Excel proficiency: VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, array formulas, IF/AND/OR, SUM, TEXT, RIGHT, FIND, VALUE, CHOOS, conditional logic, data validation, and named ranges.
3. Strong hands-on experience with Excel Macros and VBA for automation and data processing.
4. Strong analytical mindset with meticulous attention to detail for financial and pricing data.
5. Experience working in cross-functional teams in a remote or distributed environment.
6. Experience working with structured defect management and test documentation practices via Jira and Confluence
Preferred Skills & Experience
1. Experience in the BFSI domain — travel insurance or general insurance preferred.
2. Basic knowledge of SQL or data handling tools for cross-referencing pricing data.
3. Exposure to QA or product validation workflows; ability to write and execute test cases.
General Skills
1. Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
2. Proficiency in documentation — ability to write clear test cases, pricing logic notes, change logs, and process documentation.
3. Working knowledge of Jira for defect logging, task tracking, and sprint management.
4. Familiarity with Confluence for maintaining team wikis, process documents, and release notes.
5. Self-driven, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities independently in a remote setup.
Pay: ₹1,000,000.00 - ₹1,200,000.00 per year
