Accounts Manager – TIC Industry
Location: New Town, Kolkata
CTC: ₹7 - 8.5 LPA
Industry: Testing, Inspection & Certification (TIC)
About the Role
We are looking for a highly experienced and result-oriented Accounts Manager to lead our finance and accounting operations at our Head Office in New Town, Kolkata. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in financial accounting, taxation, audits, account finalization, and cash management. Experience in the Testing, Inspection & Certification (TIC), Testing & Analytical, Manufacturing, Engineering, or similar industries will be an added advantage.
Candidates with 14+ years of relevant accounting and finance experience are preferred. CA Inter qualification will be an added advantage.
Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Accounting & Reporting
- Manage and oversee day-to-day accounting operations.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and balance sheets.
- Ensure timely and accurate account finalization in compliance with statutory requirements.
- Maintain proper accounting records and documentation.
Bank Reconciliation & Cash Management
- Perform regular Bank Reconciliation Statements (BRS) and resolve discrepancies.
- Monitor daily cash flow and prepare Cash MIS reports.
- Ensure effective working capital and cash management practices.
Taxation & Statutory Compliance
- Handle GST, TDS, Income Tax, Professional Tax, and other statutory compliances.
- Prepare and review tax-related accounting entries.
- Coordinate with consultants and authorities for tax assessments and compliance matters.
- Ensure timely filing of all statutory returns.
Letter of Credit (LC) Management
- Manage the complete LC cycle, including issuance, amendments, documentation, and settlement.
- Coordinate with banks and internal stakeholders for smooth processing.
Audit & Compliance
- Coordinate and manage internal audit processes.
- Support statutory audits and ensure timely closure of audit observations.
- Implement audit recommendations and strengthen internal controls.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, financial regulations, and company policies.
Team Management
- Lead, supervise, and mentor the accounts team.
- Allocate responsibilities and monitor performance to ensure operational efficiency.
- Foster a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Master's degree in commerce (M.Com) or equivalent.
- CA Inter preferred.
- Minimum 14 years of experience in Accounts, Finance, Taxation, and Audit functions.
- Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax, financial reporting, and account finalization.
- Experience in handling internal and statutory audits.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, Tally, and MS Excel.
- Strong analytical, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
