Job Summary
The Station Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of a delivery station specializing in heavy and bulky products. This role ensures safe, efficient, and timely deliveries while driving operational excellence, team performance, customer satisfaction, and compliance with company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily station operations to ensure smooth inbound, sorting, staging, and last-mile delivery activities.
- Lead and supervise Station Support Associates, Delivery Associates, Team Leads, and vendor personnel.
- Ensure timely dispatch and successful delivery of heavy and bulky products while maintaining operational quality standards.
- Monitor key performance metrics such as On-Time Dispatch (OTD), Delivery Success Rate, First Attempt Delivery Success, and productivity.
- Plan manpower, vehicle allocation, and route readiness to meet daily operational requirements.
- Coordinate with transportation partners, vendors, and cross-functional teams to resolve operational challenges.
- Conduct daily performance reviews, shift briefings, and operational meetings.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and compliance requirements.
- Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve customer experience.
- Manage station inventory, assets, and equipment effectively.
- Investigate customer escalations and operational exceptions, implementing corrective actions.
- Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
- Train, mentor, and develop station employees to build a high-performing team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field.
- MBA is preferred but not mandatory.
Experience
- 3–6 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, warehouse, transportation, or last-mile delivery operations.
- At least 1–2 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Experience in heavy & bulky logistics operations is preferred.

Working Conditions
