Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Fire Alarm Technician to install, inspect, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair fire alarm systems and related life safety equipment. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with fire alarm panels, detection devices, testing procedures, and safety regulations. The technician will ensure all systems are functioning properly and comply with industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Install, test, inspect, and maintain fire alarm systems, smoke detectors, heat detectors, control panels, and related equipment.
- Perform troubleshooting and repair of fire alarm system faults and issues.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance as per safety standards.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and system layouts.
- Perform system testing, commissioning, and documentation.
- Identify defective components and recommend appropriate repairs or replacements.
- Maintain accurate service reports, inspection records, and customer documentation.
- Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and clients during installations and service visits.
- Follow all fire safety regulations, company procedures, and workplace safety guidelines.
- Provide technical support and guidance to customers when required.
Requirements
- ITI/Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a Fire Alarm Technician or in a similar fire & safety role.
- Knowledge of fire alarm systems, control panels, detectors, modules, and wiring.
- Ability to diagnose technical faults and perform repairs.
- Understanding of electrical systems and safety standards.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle site visits.
- Valid driving license preferred.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with brands such as Notifier, Siemens, Honeywell, Bosch, Edwards, or equivalent systems.
- Knowledge of fire alarm commissioning and testing procedures.
- Experience with CCTV, access control, or other ELV systems is an advantage.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
