The Production Engineer will observe, analyse, and improve the day-to-day activities, electrical assembly, production planning (manpower and material), quality control, continued product improvement. Responsible for 5S & kaizen implementation on the shop floor. Ensure smooth production on time with zero quality defects within the allocated work hours with optimum utilization of resources.
Production Person shall be directly involved in the following tasks and duties:
- Collect and analyze data for the various tasks involved in various processes. This includes time to study and motion study. Recommend various improvements/changes in processes to reduce labor hours and increase production while improving quality.
- Quality control with root cause analysis for all processes.
- Develop various “go/no go” types of acceptance/rejection production/tools to minimize the manual measurements and manual recording. Set up procedure to use QC barcode scanning including recording of date, batch number, part number, etc. Set up traceability for parts produced.
- Working with the senior person of the team, provide manpower projection and avoid continuous overtime. This also includes coming up with a system, where practical, for production to continue during days off.
- Provide recommendations to the senior person and the HR Team related to disciplinary action where workers are not in compliance with policies such as misuse of cell phone, gate pass, late arrival, early departure, wasted time, etc.
- Minimize material waste.
- Possibilities of reduction sub-contracting work in a cost-effective manner.
- Production person will provide timely reports to his Reporting Manager. Frequency and formats of such reports shall be discussed in the due course of time.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 1–3 years of experience in Production Engineering/Production Handling.
- Manpower Handling.
- Assembly Handling.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
