Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Solar Project Manager to plan, execute, and oversee rooftop and ground-mounted solar projects from initiation to commissioning. The candidate will be responsible for project planning, team coordination, cost control, and ensuring timely and quality project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and manage end-to-end execution of solar rooftop and ground-mounted projects.
- Prepare project schedules, timelines, and resource planning.
- Coordinate with design, procurement, and site execution teams.
- Monitor project progress and ensure completion within time and budget.
- Manage site engineers, contractors, and installation teams.
- Ensure quality standards, safety compliance, and technical specifications are followed.
- Handle client coordination, meetings, and project updates.
- Monitor material planning, dispatch, and inventory at sites.
- Oversee testing, commissioning, and project handover.
- Support net metering, government approvals, and documentation.
- Identify risks, delays, or issues and implement corrective actions.
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly project reports to management.
Requirements
- B.Tech / Diploma in Electrical / EEE.
- 4–8 years of experience in Solar EPC project management.
- Strong knowledge of solar system components, installation, and commissioning.
- Experience in handling multiple projects simultaneously.
- Good leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, project tracking, and reporting.
- Willingness to travel to project sites.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in MW-scale or C&I solar projects
- Knowledge of net metering and regulatory processes
- Understanding of electrical drawings, SLD, and system design
- Basic knowledge of project cost control and vendor management
