Job Summary:
The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing the complete accounting and financial operations of the cloud kitchen, ensuring accurate financial reporting, cost control, statutory compliance, payroll processing, vendor payments, inventory accounting, and financial analysis to support business growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities: Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Maintain accurate books of accounts and financial records.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Monitor cash flow, revenue, expenses, and profitability.
- Reconcile bank accounts, vendor accounts, and customer payments.
- Prepare management reports and MIS on a regular basis.
Cost Control & Inventory Management
- Monitor food cost, packaging cost, and operational expenses.
- Analyze kitchen production costs and wastage.
- Verify inventory records, stock consumption, and stock valuation.
- Coordinate with kitchen and procurement teams for inventory control.
- Ensure accurate recording of raw materials and finished goods.
Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Process vendor invoices and payments on time.
- Monitor outstanding receivables from food delivery partners and corporate clients.
- Reconcile accounts with aggregators such as delivery platforms.
- Follow up on pending payments and resolve discrepancies.
Taxation & Statutory Compliance
- Ensure timely filing of GST returns and statutory compliances.
- Maintain compliance with Income Tax, TDS, PF, ESI, and other applicable regulations.
- Coordinate with auditors during internal and statutory audits.
- Maintain proper documentation for financial and compliance purposes.
Employee Benefits :
- PF & ESI Administration: Manage monthly computations, online filings, and timely challan generation for Provident Fund (PF) and Employee State Insurance (ESI) via the respective government portals.
- Employee Database Management: Handle the onboarding and offboarding of kitchen staff on PF/ESI portals, including generating Universal Account Numbers (UAN) and ESI IP numbers.
Budgeting & Financial Analysis :
- Assist in preparing annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Conduct variance analysis between actual and budgeted expenses.
- Provide recommendations for cost optimization and profitability improvement.
- Support management in financial planning and decision-making.Qualification:
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce (B.Com), Finance, or Accounting.
- CA Inter / CMA Inter / M.Com preferred.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, GST, TDS, payroll, and financial reporting.Experience:
- 5–8 years of accounting experience.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in cloud kitchen, restaurant, hospitality, food production, or FMCG industry preferred.
Skills Required:
- Advanced MS Excel skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of inventory accounting and food cost management.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
