1. Daily Operation and Monitoring
- Operate STP/ETP/UF/RO equipment such as pumps, blowers, aeration tanks, clarifiers, filters, etc.
- Monitor inlet and outlet parameters (BOD, COD, pH, TSS, TDS, flow rate).
- Ensure proper dosing of chemicals (e.g., coagulants, flocculants, pH adjusters).
- Maintain logbooks for flow, parameters, chemical consumption, and equipment running hours.
2. Routine Maintenance Support
- Perform basic preventive maintenance tasks (e.g., cleaning screens, checking oil levels, greasing).
- Identify equipment malfunctions and inform maintenance team.
- Ensure timely backwashing of filters.
3. Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure treated effluent meets local pollution control board norms.
- Coordinate sampling and analysis for statutory reporting.
4. Housekeeping and Plant Hygiene
- Maintain cleanliness of the ETP area and associated utilities.
- Properly handle and dispose of sludge and other waste generated.
6. Reporting and Communication
- Report abnormal conditions to the supervisor or maintenance team promptly.
- Maintain shift handover records for seamless plant operation.
- Communicate chemical inventory status to ensure continuous supply.
