Job Summary
We are looking for an analytical, precise, and highly qualified PGT Accountancy Teacher to join our Commerce faculty. In this role, you will be responsible for teaching higher-level financial accounting, partnership accounts, and financial statement analysis. You will be instrumental in building a flawless foundational grip on accounting standards, maintaining academic excellence, and preparing students for competitive examinations. The ideal candidate has strong numerical aptitude, conceptual clarity, and a passion for teaching core commerce subjects.
Key Responsibilities
- Curriculum Delivery: Plan, prepare, and deliver comprehensive lessons in Accountancy according to the prescribed school curriculum.
- Academic Preparation: Thoroughly prepare students for board examinations, internal assessments, and practical project evaluations.
- Practical Application: Guide students in preparing project files, analyzing real-world balance sheets, and understanding the practical implementation of accounting principles.
- Student Assessment: Design high-quality question papers, evaluate answer sheets with attention to formatting and steps, provide constructive feedback, and maintain progress tracking.
- Mentorship: Identify student learning curves—offering remedial sessions to help students master ledger balances and journal entries, and providing advanced challenges for top performers.
Required Qualifications & SkillsNote: Candidates must possess a relevant Post Graduate degree and a teaching degree to be shortlisted.
- Education: Master’s degree (M.Com. / MBA in Finance) from a recognized university.
- Certification: Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) or an equivalent teaching degree is mandatory.
- Experience: Proven experience as a PGT Accountancy teacher in a reputed school.
- Subject Expertise: Flawless understanding of double-entry bookkeeping, accounting standards, and financial financial statement formats.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to explain intricate numerical concepts clearly.
- Tech Savvy: Comfortable with using smartboards, digital teaching tools, and basic accounting spreadsheet templates.
