We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of our Steel Processing Centre. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in production planning, manpower management, quality control, and productivity improvement.
The candidate will be responsible for achieving production targets, optimizing machine and manpower utilization, reducing material wastage and downtime, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring safe and efficient operations.
Job Responsibilities:
Manage and monitor day-to-day production activities in the steel plant.
Plan production as per customer requirements and dispatch schedules.
Ensure production targets are achieved with optimum manpower and resources.
Monitor production quality and reduce rejection, rework, and material wastage.
Supervise and guide production supervisors and operators.
Coordinate with Maintenance, Quality, Stores, Purchase, and Dispatch teams.
Monitor machine performance and minimize production downtime.
Ensure proper utilization of raw materials and consumables.
Maintain production records, reports, and daily MIS.
Implement process improvements to improve productivity and reduce costs.
Ensure compliance with safety procedures and company standards.
Identify production issues and take corrective actions.
Train and develop production team members.
Support implementation of SOPs, 5S, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement activities.
Qualification & Experience:
Diploma / Any Degree
8–15 years of experience in steel/manufacturing industries, preferably in a production management role.
Strong knowledge of plant production processes, manpower management, quality, and safety.
Good leadership, problem-solving, and coordination skills.
Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month
