A hotel housekeeping supervisor oversees daily cleaning operations, manages staff schedules, and inspects rooms to ensure compliance with strict brand standards. They act as the vital link between room attendants and management, resolving guest complaints, training new hires, and maintaining inventory for cleaning supplies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quality Control & Inspections: Conduct routine inspections of guest rooms, corridors, and public areas to guarantee they meet hygiene and aesthetic standards.
- Team Leadership: Assign daily tasks to room attendants, housemen, and public area attendants. Manage shift scheduling, handle attendance, and motivate the team.
- Training & Development: Train new housekeeping staff on proper cleaning techniques, chemical safety, and hotel policies.
- Guest Services: Respond promptly to guest requests, handle complaints, and ensure special room arrangements are fulfilled.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels of linens, amenities, and cleaning supplies, requesting orders as necessary.
- Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Coordinate with the maintenance department to report broken fixtures and with the front desk to ensure accurate room status updates (e.g., ready rooms for arrivals).
Essential Requirements:
- Experience: Proven experience in hotel housekeeping, ideally with previous team lead or supervisory experience.
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of commercial cleaning best practices, sanitation regulations, and occupational health and safety standards.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills, combined with strong verbal communication.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, frequently moving between floors and inspecting rooms
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹21,000.00 per month
