Staff Nurse – Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)

Qualification
- B.Sc. Nursing / General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM)
- Valid Nursing Registration Certificate
Experience
- Minimum 1 - 2 years of experience in NICU
- Experience in handling critically ill neonates and premature babies preferred

Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to neonates admitted in the NICU.
- Monitor and record vital signs, oxygen saturation, feeding tolerance, and overall clinical condition of neonates.
- Assist pediatricians and neonatologists during procedures and emergency situations.
- Administer medications, IV fluids, and treatments as prescribed.
- Maintain accurate nursing documentation and patient records.
- Ensure infection prevention and control practices are strictly followed.
- Educate and counsel parents regarding neonatal care and feeding practices.
- Maintain NICU equipment and ensure readiness for patient care.
Required Clinical Skills
Candidates must have hands-on experience in:
- CPAP (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure) Management
- HFNC (High-Flow Nasal Cannula) Therapy
- IV Line Insertion / Cannulation
- Oral Gastric Feeding (OG Feed)
- Paladai Feeding
- Nasogastric (NG) Tube Feeding
- Neonatal Monitoring and Basic Emergency Care
