Job Description - QA/QC Manager
Core Responsibilities
Strategy & Implementation: Develop, implement, and maintain the Project Quality Management System (QMS) and project-specific QA/QC plans.
Leadership: Lead and mentor site QA/QC inspectors, engineers, and supervisors to maintain high standards of workmanship.
Auditing & Compliance: Conduct internal and external audits to ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ASME).
Documentation Management: Approve Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), method statements, and material submittals; ensure all records are maintained, approved, and tracked.
Client & Stakeholder Interface: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and third-party agencies for all quality-related matters.
Defect Prevention & Mitigation: Monitor construction activities to proactively identify risks and manage the closure of Non-Compliance Reports (NCRs).
Vendor Quality: Coordinate receipt inspections of materials and review subcontractor quality performance.
Qualifications
Experience: 15–20 years in QA/QC roles within the construction industry, with a minimum of 5-10 years in senior supervisory/management positions.
experience in Mixed use, commercial, retail and Hotel Projects.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
Certification: Lead Auditor Certification for ISO 9001:2015 is preferred
Skills: Exceptional knowledge of construction codes, standards (ASME, ASTM, ISO), non-destructive testing, and technical documentation.
