We are looking for an experienced and well-connected Liaison Head to lead and manage government liaison activities related to land acquisition, development approvals, statutory permissions, and project execution.
The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of government procedures, revenue and planning authorities, local bodies, and statutory approval processes, along with established professional relationships with relevant government departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all government liaison and approval-related activities for land and real estate development projects.
- Coordinate with Government Departments, Revenue Authorities, CMDA, DTCP, Corporation, Local Bodies, Registration Department, TANGEDCO, Metro Water and other relevant authorities.
- Facilitate and monitor obtaining of:
- Planning permissions and development approvals
- Layout approvals
- Building permissions
- Land-use / zoning-related approvals
- Revenue and patta-related matters
- Subdivision and reclassification approvals
- NOCs and statutory clearances
- Completion / project-related permissions
- Handle land and revenue matters, including patta transfer, subdivision, survey, FMB, boundary-related issues and other land records.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with government officials and external consultants.
- Track approval status and ensure timely follow-up until closure.
- Identify potential regulatory or approval-related bottlenecks and provide timely solutions to management.
- Coordinate with Legal, Land Acquisition, Projects, Planning, Finance and Management teams for smooth execution of projects.
- Review documentation required for various government submissions and ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Manage external liaison consultants, agents and other intermediaries where required.
- Maintain proper records of applications, approvals, correspondence, follow-ups and pending matters.
- Provide regular MIS / status reports to the Management on approvals, pending matters, timelines and critical issues.
- Represent the company in meetings and discussions with government authorities whenever required.
- Ensure all liaison activities are conducted professionally, ethically and in accordance with applicable laws and company policies.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Law, Planning, Real Estate, Public Administration or a related field.
- 10+ years of relevant experience in government liaison, real estate, land development, infrastructure or a related industry.
- Strong understanding of land and property-related government procedures.
- Good knowledge of CMDA / DTCP and local authority approval processes.
- Strong understanding of Revenue Department and Registration-related procedures.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder-management skills.
- Strong professional network and working relationships with relevant government authorities.
- Ability to independently handle multiple projects and follow up on approvals from initiation to closure.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Good documentation, reporting and coordination skills.
- Candidates with experience in large-scale real estate / land development projects will be preferred.
Pay: From ₹75,000.00 per month
Work Location: In person
