Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Quality Assurance professional for the apparel industry to join our team in Jammu. The candidate should have strong hands-on experience in apparel quality testing, fabric inspection, GSM checking, production quality control, machinery knowledge, and SOP preparation for apparel products.
Preference will be given to candidates from Jammu or nearby locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct quality checks at different stages of apparel production, including fabric inspection, cutting, stitching, finishing, and packing.
- Perform apparel quality testing as per required standards and buyer specifications.
- Check and verify GSM, fabric quality, shrinkage, color fastness, measurements, stitching quality, and finishing standards.
- Ensure all products meet internal quality standards and customer requirements.
- Identify defects and coordinate with production teams for corrective and preventive actions.
- Monitor machinery-related quality issues and suggest improvements.
- Prepare and maintain SOPs for apparel products and production processes.
- Maintain quality reports, inspection records, defect analysis reports, and testing documentation.
- Train production staff on quality standards, SOPs, product specifications, and defect prevention.
- Coordinate with sampling, production, finishing, and dispatch teams to ensure smooth quality workflow.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and process standards.
Required Skills & Experience
- 4–7 years of experience in quality assurance / quality control in the apparel industry.
- Strong knowledge of apparel quality testing and garment inspection.
- Hands-on experience in GSM checking and fabric quality parameters.
- Good understanding of apparel machinery and production processes.
- Ability to prepare SOPs, quality checklists, and process documentation.
- Knowledge of garment defects, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
- Strong communication, reporting, and team coordination skills.
- Good attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
Preferred Candidate
- Candidate from Jammu or nearby locations will be preferred.
- Prior experience in apparel manufacturing units will be an advantage.
- Candidate should be willing to work on-site at the Jammu location.
Qualification
Diploma / Degree in Textile Technology, Fashion Technology, Apparel Manufacturing, or any relevant field. Candidates with strong practical experience in apparel quality may also apply.
Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month
