We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior DB2 LUW DBA to join our team.
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing, optimizing and upgrading our database systems while ensuring high availability, performance and reliability.
Responsibilities

Monitor, manage and troubleshoot production database issues

Handle complex database configurations like DPF and Blu Acceleration

Build and maintain HADR setups (Primary-Standby and Auxiliary Standby)
-
Perform DB2 version upgrades to ensure system compliance and performance
-
Execute cross-platform database migrations including AIX to Linux and Windows to Linux
-
Manage database migrations from Windows to Cloud Linux with HADR setups
-
Conduct health check scans and remediation processes for database optimization
-
Perform weekly health checkups covering DB size, HADR status, reorganization and log space reviews
-
Execute database backups using various modes (online, offline, compressed, non-compressed)
-
Manage DB2 LUW installations and configurations across versions 10.1/10.5/11.1/11.5

Design and maintain effective data ingestion and transformation processes including batch and incremental pipelines
-
Perform complex data transformations, cleansing and enrichment to meet project requirements
-
Collaborate with business analysts, developers and testers to understand data needs and ensure streamlined processes
-
Optimize data pipelines for performance, scalability and operational efficiency
-
Ensure data quality, consistency and traceability across environments
-
Document data models, flows and transformation logic
Requirements
-
6 to 9 years of experience in managing DB2 LUW databases and related technologies
-
Expertise in DPF and Blu Acceleration for advanced database configurations
-
Proficiency in building and maintaining HADR setups across various platforms
-
Qualifications in cross-platform migrations including AIX to Linux and Windows to Linux
-
Experience with DB2 LUW versions 10.1/10.5/11.1/11.5 installations and configurations
-
Background in performing database health checks, optimizations and backup processes
-
Capability to design robust data pipelines for ingestion and transformation
-
Familiarity with handling database migrations to cloud environments with HADR setups
-
Understanding of data transformation and cleansing techniques
-
