JOB DESCRIPTION – PROCUREMENT MANAGER
Position: Procurement Manager
Location: Hyderabad, Telangana
Industry: Conveyor & Material Handling Equipment Manufacturing
Experience: 5–10 Years
Qualification: B.Tech (Mechanical) / DME
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end procurement of engineering materials, mechanical components, fabricated items, bought-out items and project-related materials.
- Identify and develop reliable vendors, obtain quotations, negotiate prices and finalize purchase orders.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Projects, Production, Stores and Quality teams to ensure timely material availability.
- Strong follow-up and expediting skills to ensure on-time delivery as per project schedules.
- Monitor purchase orders, vendor commitments, delivery schedules and material shortages.
- Handle procurement activities for Engineering Projects at Head Office / Project Sites.
- Maintain effective vendor relationships and ensure quality, cost and delivery targets are achieved.
Preferred Industry Experience
Candidates with experience in any of the following sectors will be preferred:
- Material Handling / Conveyor Equipment Companies
- Cement Plants / Cement Industry
- Power Plants
- Mining / Mining Consultants
- Engineering & EPC Companies
- Heavy Engineering / Project Engineering Companies
- Similar industrial equipment or engineering-project environments
Candidates who have worked in Engineering Projects at HO / Site level will be given preference.
Candidate Profile
- Good communication, negotiation, coordination and vendor-management skills.
- Strong material expediting and follow-up capabilities.
- Ability to coordinate with multiple departments, vendors and project teams.
- Candidates should have practical exposure to engineering procurement and project execution environments.
- Candidates currently outside Hyderabad may apply only if they are genuinely willing to relocate to Hyderabad.
