Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Developer with 6+ years of hands-on expertise in ServiceNow platform development, particularly in App Engine, Workspace, Flow Designer, and modern ServiceNow application architecture. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing scalable enterprise solutions while collaborating with business stakeholders, architects, and cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
· Design, develop, and maintain custom applications using ServiceNow App Engine.
· Configure and customize Agent Workspace, Configurable Workspace, and Next Experience UI components.
· Develop and enhance ServiceNow solutions using Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Policies, Client Scripts, and ACLs.
· Build and maintain custom modules, portals, workflows, and service catalog items.
· Design and implement scalable data models, tables, forms, and application structures.
· Integrate ServiceNow with external systems using REST APIs, SOAP, IntegrationHub spokes, and MID Server.
· Develop reusable components and follow ServiceNow development best practices.
· Perform platform upgrades, code reviews, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
· Collaborate with architects and business analysts to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
· Create technical documentation, solution designs, and deployment plans.
· Support Agile development processes including sprint planning, estimation, testing, and deployment activities.
· Ensure compliance with security, governance, and platform standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications
· 6+ years of ServiceNow development experience.
· Strong hands-on experience with ServiceNow App Engine Studio.
· Expertise in Agent Workspace and Configurable Workspace development.
· Strong knowledge of JavaScript, Glide APIs, Script Includes, Business Rules, UI Actions, UI Policies, and Client Scripts.
· Experience with Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, and Workflow Automation.
· Hands-on experience in Service Catalog, Knowledge Management, and custom application development.
· Experience integrating ServiceNow with third-party applications using REST/SOAP APIs.
· Strong understanding of ServiceNow platform architecture and best practices.
· Experience with Source Control, Update Sets, and CI/CD pipelines.
· Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
· Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
· ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).
· ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD).
· ServiceNow App Engine Developer certification.
· Experience with UI Builder and Next Experience Framework.
· Exposure to ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CSM, or SPM modules.
· Experience working in distributed and remote teams.
Nice to Have
· Experience with Service Portal development.
· Knowledge of AngularJS and modern web technologies.
· Experience with Performance Analytics and Reporting.
· Familiarity with ATF (Automated Test Framework).
· Exposure to DevOps and cloud environments.
Education
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
