Job Overview:
The Supply Chain Analyst will be a key member of the Global Supply Chain Management (SCM) team & working as an Individual contributor, playing a vital role in driving centralized analytics & intelligence initiatives based out of Gurgaon. The primary intent of this role will be to provide pricing and market intelligence / techno-commercial analytics capabilities to global projects which are in FEED/Proposal/Execution phases, as well as to the Global Category Management organization. This role will be aligned with the organization’s vision to develop the value driven SCM solutions to support our projects, further driving overall value within the entire supply chain.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- The individual will work to enhance market intelligence and price benchmarking/intelligence capabilities that will in turn support the development of pre-contract SCM strategies
- Continuously maintain and enhance our price analytics database and intelligence platform (dashboarding) – Engineered Equipment and Bulk Material
- Support project/bid teams to support proposals and FEED’s from a price benchmarking, estimation and market intelligence perspective
- Identify, analyze, and interpret market intelligence data results or data trends using statistical techniques
- Prepare and maintain Market Intelligence (MI) reports covering raw materials, steel products, logistics, freight, and key procurement commodities.
- Routinely examine vendor data, analyze metrics to identify new capabilities, KPI and operational performance
- Continuous process improvement to enhance and further develop data analysis / management for price benchmarking capabilities. Work with team for process development and improvement
- Develop escalation outlooks, pricing forecasts, and market trend assessments to support project costing and commercial decisions.
- Develop automated reporting, data aggregation, and visualization solutions using analytical tools.
- Perform related duties as required including interaction with various discipline across all business lines.
Essential Qualifications and Education:
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Engineering degree is highly desired with 2-4 years of experience in Oil and Gas industry having exposure to various Engineering Documents and involved in various Engineering deliverables.
- Strong communication (verbal & written) and coordination skills exhibited in the past within a multi-stakeholder environment (ideally experience managing relationships with international offices)
- Proficient in automation tools, advanced MS Excel, MS Lists and advanced PowerPoint skills. Macros skills would be added advantage.
- Experience in database query or programming languages (e.g. SQL) and data visualization using Power BI, Tableau or similar dashboarding application preferred.
- Mechanical Engineering background is a plus but not a requirement
