- Daily store operations: Oversee and assist the Store Manager with all aspects of the store's daily function, from inbound logistics to outbound delivery.
- Order fulfillment: Ensure timely and accurate processing of all customer orders, a critical metric for Blinkit's 10–20 minute delivery promise.
- Process improvement: Implement and monitor store processes to improve efficiency and optimize workflows, which directly impacts overall store performance.
- SOP adherence: Guarantee all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are followed by the entire store team to maintain consistency and quality.
Inventory and stock management
- Inventory control: Manage and monitor inventory levels, stock replenishment, and shrinkage (loss of inventory).
- Record-keeping: Ensure accurate and real-time inventory records are maintained, coordinating with the supply chain team to optimize stock.
- Data analysis: Analyze supply chain data and performance to make data-driven decisions on stock levels and ordering.
Team leadership and management
- Supervision: Directly supervise and motivate the store team, including pickers, packers, and delivery associates.
- Training and onboarding: Assist with training new hires on store operations, tools, and company standards.
- Scheduling and rostering: Help manage the staff schedule to ensure the store is appropriately staffed at all times, especially during peak hours.
- Performance monitoring: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) for the team and provide regular feedback.
Customer experience
- Issue resolution: Handle customer inquiries and escalations in a professional manner, working to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Quality control: Ensure products are packed and handled with care to maintain high service quality.
Additional duties
- Cost optimization: Identify cost-effective solutions for supply chain processes and negotiate with vendors to land profitable deals where necessary.
- Compliance and safety: Conduct regular audits to ensure the dark store environment is clean, organized, and compliant with all health and safety regulations.
- Reporting: Prepare and analyze reports on operational and customer experience metrics, and plan corrective actions.
- Interdepartmental collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as Operations and Finance, to align store performance with overall business goals.
