Job Title: US Payroll Specialist
Job Summary:
The US Payroll Specialist is responsible for processing payroll accurately and on time for employees in the United States while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations. The role involves payroll calculations, tax compliance, benefits deductions, reconciliations, and responding to employee payroll inquiries.
Key Responsibilities:

Process bi-weekly, semi-monthly, or monthly US payroll.

Ensure accurate calculation of wages, overtime, bonuses, commissions, and deductions.

Manage federal, state, and local payroll taxes.

Process new hires, terminations, and employee status changes.

Validate timesheets and attendance records.

Reconcile payroll reports and resolve discrepancies.

Maintain employee payroll records and ensure data accuracy.

Handle payroll garnishments, benefits deductions, and retirement contributions.

Ensure compliance with US labor laws and payroll regulations.

Prepare payroll reports for finance and management.

Coordinate with HR, Finance, and external payroll vendors.

Respond to employee payroll-related queries.

Support payroll audits and year-end activities (W-2s, tax filings, etc.).
Required Skills:

Knowledge of US payroll processes and tax regulations.

Experience with payroll software (e.g., ADP, Workday, UKG/Kronos, Ceridian Dayforce, Paychex).

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
