Services team, Clientell AI - India Office, HSR Layout, Bangalore (in office, full time)
Our clients don’t need another vendor sending status updates. They need someone in the room who understands their business well enough to tell them what they actually need.
About Clientell AI Clientell AI is a San Francisco company. We run Salesforce and revenue operations for enterprises, and we build AI agents that live inside those systems and do the work instead of telling someone what to click. The team that designs, ships, and stands behind that for our largest accounts sits in HSR Layout, Bangalore.
There are two sides to this business. Our product runs inside more than 2,000 organizations. Our services team runs deep, hands-on engagements for a small number of enterprise accounts: a Fortune 100 pharmaceutical company, a European home improvement retail group, a US commercial fleet safety manufacturer. We’ll name them on the first call.
We’re seventeen people, and about to be more. The next few hires shape what this company becomes, not just what it ships this quarter.
About this role Our services work spans Salesforce, HubSpot, other CRM and ERP systems, and the AI agents we build on top of them. Someone has to sit with the client before anything becomes a ticket, work out what “solved” actually looks like, scope it, and then stay accountable for whether it worked.
That’s this role, and you’re billable from month one. You run discovery, define the solution, write the scope, and keep the engagement honest. Our founder stays the senior relationship on the largest accounts, so nobody is handing you a Fortune 100 CFO in week two. You’re being handed the actual work. As you prove out, more of the relationship comes to you.
What you’ll actually do
- Run discovery with client teams. Sit inside their workflow, not their requirements doc, and find the problem behind the ask
- Translate business goals into a scope our engineers and Salesforce consultants can build against, then translate what got built back into language the client’s leadership cares about
- Turn a vague ask like “our sales team doesn’t trust the data” into a scoped plan with a sequence, an owner, and a definition of done
- Own the engagement plan: timelines, dependencies, what’s in scope, what changed, who’s blocked
- Run status conversations that don’t feel like status conversations, catch the problem before the client has to raise it
- Source expansion inside the accounts you run and make the case yourself, you get paid on it
- Write scopes and recaps clean enough that another consultant could pick up the account tomorrow
What makes you a fit
- You can hold a real conversation with a client’s VP and not sound like you’re reading off a deck
- You’ve run a client account, sold something, or led a project where the outcome was actually on you and not a shared grade
- You look at a business’s numbers and workflows and get curious about why they’re built that way, not just what they are
- You’ve worked close enough to a CRM to know what an object, a field, and a workflow are. You don’t need to build it, you need to not be lost when an engineer explains why something is hard
- You write clearly, scopes, recaps, and follow-ups are most of this job in written form
- Excellent spoken and written English, most of your calls are with US teams
- You don’t wait to be told the next step
- Realistically this fits someone one to three years into a client-facing role, MBA or not. We’re not fixed on degrees or years. The band fits someone early in their career. If you’re further along and the number still works for you, apply anyway and tell us why
Use AI like you mean it We don’t care whether you can recite prompt engineering theory. We care whether you already use these tools to get more out of your own day. Bring one thing you automated for yourself with AI, account research, a call-prep workflow, a proposal draft pipeline, anything real. Two minutes, screen shared. We’ll ask what it gets wrong.
Even better if
- You’ve worked as an admin, a developer, or in any application-level role. Understanding what you’re scoping makes you dramatically better at this
- You’ve touched Salesforce or HubSpot in any capacity
- You’ve built or run something of your own with a P&L attached to your name
- You’ve worked at a consulting firm, an SI, or an agency, and you know what a real scope document looks like
What it’s actually like here Some weeks are heavier than others. Go-lives, demos, and production issues don’t check the calendar, and when that happens everyone shows up. The rest of the time we don’t perform busyness. If you want work that stops moving at 6pm every day regardless of what’s happening on an account, this will annoy you.
What you get in return: real ownership from week one, visibility across the whole company, and direct access to how a services business actually gets built.
How we’re hiring for this We’re also hiring a Salesforce Consultant and a Forward Deployed Engineer right now. One application, one process. The Salesforce Consultant builds inside the org. The Forward Deployed Engineer builds the agents. You define what gets built and stay accountable for whether it worked. After the first call we’ll tell you which role we’re evaluating you for and why.
Interview process
- Thirty minutes with the hiring manager: role fit, your AI demo, your questions
- A ninety-minute working session on a real client scenario, you’ll run discovery on us and write the scope
- A conversation with the founder, we name the accounts, you meet the people you’d work with
We aim to close this in under two weeks from the first call. If we pass, you’ll hear why.
Compensation and logistics ₹7-12 LPA fixed, plus up to ₹3L variable tied to expansion revenue on accounts you run. ESOP. Health insurance. First comp review at six months, not twelve. Full time, in office, HSR Layout, Bangalore. Not remote, our delivery model depends on people overhearing each other’s client calls. US client travel is likely, visa dependent.
