Key Responsibilities
- Curriculum Development: Plan and deliver structured dance lessons aligned with school requirements, emphasizing rhythm, coordination, and expression.
- Performance Management: Choreograph and train students for school assemblies, annual functions, and regional/national competitions.
- Instruction: Teach a variety of dance styles (e.g., Bharatnatyam, Kathak, Bhangra, Hip-hop, Contemporary) to students across different age groups.
- Safety and Discipline: Ensure student safety during practice sessions and maintain a positive, supportive, and disciplined learning environment.
- Assessment: Monitor student progress and provide feedback on participation and skill development.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in dance, or a Diploma/Certificate from an accredited institution.
- Experience: 3–5 years of teaching experience in a recognized school is usually required.
- Skills: Exceptional choreography skills, proficiency in multiple dance forms, strong communication, and patience with children.
