The Sr. Operation Manager will be responsible for leading, managing, and scaling all field
operations related to plantation and environmental restoration projects across India. This
role requires a strategic thinker with strong on-ground experience, leadership capability,
and expertise in executing large-scale afforestation and ecological restoration initiatives
while ensuring timely delivery and operational excellence.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
1. Strategic Planning & Execution
Lead the planning and execution of large-scale plantation and environmental restoration
projects.
Develop operational strategies, annual plans, and execution frameworks aligned with
organizational goals.
Ensure timely delivery of projects with high quality and measurable impact.
Ensure all projects are completed within the committed timelines.
2. Pan India Operations Management
Handle and oversee the entire Pan India operations team and all ongoing projects.
Monitor multiple sites and ensure smooth coordination across regions.
Maintain visibility and control over all project activities across locations.
3. Field Operations Leadership
Conduct regular field visits and reviews across project locations.
Ensure effective execution of plantation models (including Miyawaki, agroforestry, and
restoration techniques).
Drive standardization of processes, SOPs, and best practices across all sites.
4. Team Leadership & Performance Management
Lead and manage a large team of project managers, field executives, and ground staff across
India.
Continuously track team performance and ensure accountability at all levels.
Set clear KPIs, targets, and timelines for teams and monitor progress regularly.
Build, mentor, and strengthen a high-performing operations team.
5. Project Monitoring & Timely Delivery
Keep continuous track of all ongoing projects and ensure they are progressing as per plan.
Ensure completion of projects within the committed timelines without compromising
quality.
Monitor plantation survival rates, execution quality, and overall project performance.
Implement structured MIS systems, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms.
6. Resource & Budget Management
Oversee budgeting, cost control, and efficient utilization of resources.
Manage procurement of plants, materials, and machinery.
Ensure cost-effective execution across all projects.
7. Stakeholder & Client Management
Coordinate with CSR partners, clients, government bodies, and internal teams.
Represent the organization in high-level meetings, site visits, and project reviews.
Ensure strong stakeholder relationships and client satisfaction.
8. Quality Control & Sustainability
Ensure high plantation survival rates and long-term sustainability of projects.
Implement strict quality control measures across all sites.
Drive innovation and continuous improvement in restoration practices.
9. Risk & Issue Management
Identify operational risks and implement mitigation strategies.
Resolve on-ground challenges related to workforce, logistics, and environmental conditions.
